RESEARCH IN ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF AUTONOMOUS TRAM

The objective of the TRAMTECH project is based on research into technology that will enable the new generation of URBOS trams to provide automated driving functions from on-board equipment, assisting the driver and increasing operational autonomy.
Thus, TRAMTECH will allow for increased flexibility, precision, safety, control, and operational efficiency, while minimizing dependence on signaling systems in the infrastructure.
The project, within the framework of the FEDER ("a way of making Europe"), has received funding from the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Funds and from the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment, within the HAZITEK aid program.
