Data management platform for energy efficiency and sustainable mobility in rail transport
Call for applications for grants in the field of digitalisation, aimed at the digital transformation of strategic productive sectors through the development of technological products and services for data spaces
The aim of the project is to develop a Data Technology Platform designed to centralise and process operational data from a railway signalling system. The purpose of this platform will be to reduce the energy consumption associated with train drivers’ operations, which will involve both changes to commercial service timetables and the optimal design of new speed profiles along the various service routes, minimising energy consumption without compromising punctuality or passenger comfort. The project has been funded under the ‘Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU’, with a total approved budget of €999,629.00 and a grant of €399,850.60.
