Promoting Climate Neutrality in Europe through a Sustainable Mobility Data Space
Abstract: The EDMO2ZERO project aims to promote the development of use cases that encourage data sharing between public and private entities within the mobility sector, with an initial focus on the railway industry. With a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and environmental impact assessment, the project seeks to enhance carbon footprint measurement in order to facilitate the adoption of effective emission reduction strategies. In a context defined by climate urgency and the commitment to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, EDMO2ZERO leverages the real-time monitoring capabilities of the railway system to expand data-driven digital services that contribute to more sustainable, zero-emission-oriented mobility.
